The red Snapper Lawnmower is one of the most iconic images in American lawn care. Founded in 1894 as a saw company, it was rebranded in the 1940s when Raymond Smith patented a revolutionary mowing blade and created his first "snapping turtle" shaped Snapper Walk-Behind Lawn Mower. Now part of the Briggs & Stratton family of brands, Snapper Walk-Behind Mowers and Riding Mowers are sold at Walmart and a few other retailers, while other Snapper products like Zero-Turn Mowers, Snow Blowers, Pressure Washers, and Snapper Pro branded products are sold through independent Snapper Dealers like us.
